About The Role

Redmill Care Home, located in the picturesque town of East Whitburn, West Lothian, is a purpose-built, 68-bed home providing high-quality nursing and nursing dementia care. Its unique setting combines a warm, family-style atmosphere with thoughtfully designed, accessible spaces, including an enclosed sensory garden and welcoming communal areas overlooking the grounds. Redmill’s commitment to wellbeing and quality is reflected in its strong 2025 Care Inspectorate results, achieving Very Good ratings for supporting people’s wellbeing and leadership, alongside Good ratings for its staff team, setting, and care planning. With a positive reputation in the local community, Redmill is widely regarded as a “good home from home” and continues to maintain a healthy waiting list.

About You
As Care Home Manager, you lead Redmill with kindness at the heart of everything you do, ensuring residents feel valued, respected, and supported to live fulfilling lives. You focus on delivering person-centred, individualised care that meets residents’ emotional, social, and physical needs, while promoting independence, dignity, and choice. Through strong, visible leadership, you motivate and develop a stable, committed multidisciplinary team, contributing to a staff turnover rate significantly below company average and a culture where colleagues feel supported and empowered. You champion safeguarding, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, working collaboratively with external professionals and maintaining positive, constructive relationships with regulatory bodies, including Scottish Care.
